当天的新授知识,如果在第二天得到及时反馈,那么这样的记忆效果往往是非常有效的。早上到班级把新单词新句型及时读几遍,课堂上的反应效果就完全不一样。根据认知心理学的研究,对于学习内容,应该在尚未出现大量遗忘之前及时安排复习,以收事半功倍之效。匈牙利著名女翻译家卡扎·罗姆索通晓十多种语言,她的学习经验第一条是:学习不中断,哪怕每天挤出十分钟也好,早晨是最好时机。坚持每天读英语对小学生有很大帮助,以前的小孩子学诗有一个经验,“熟读唐诗三百首,不会作诗也会吟”。这经验也适合于学英语。小学生的英语朗读久了,熟能生巧,在一定情况下便能脱口而出。因此,养成复习好习惯在学习中的作用是相当大的。
四、记忆策略
语言学习者要记忆大量的词汇,背诵英语单词、短语是每一个英语学习者面临的艰巨任务,也是令每一个英语学习者感到棘手的问题。成人如此,小学生也不例外。因此,在英语学习的启蒙阶段,让小学生了解单词记忆的一些策略是十分必要的。
五、读音记忆法:根据单词的读音记忆单词。它是记忆策略的首选,也是学好英语的重要途径。在教学中,我们经常会发现一些学生能够阅读,也会用英语写作,却不会用英语与人交流,甚至在课堂上不敢张开嘴巴说,即出现所谓的“哑巴英语”现象。根据读音记忆单词,既可以避免“哑巴英语”现象,又能培养学生良好的英语学习习惯,提高学习效率。
六、联想记忆法:设法把单词的音或形或义联系起来。人的记忆能力,主要来自联想。记忆力强的人,都具有较强的联想能力。记忆以联想为基础,联想的建立为记忆提供更多的线索,线索越多,记住一个单词就越容易,提取这个单词也就越顺利。

法国教育学家第斯多惠说:“教学艺术不在于传授本领,而是在于激励、唤醒、鼓舞。”因此,教师需要在英语课堂教学中坚持“激趣导学”的教学理念,使课堂“活”起来。我校是新课程改革的实践基地,农民工子女较多,为了保证提高农民工子女的学习成绩,校长带领全校师生,进行了深入的教学改革,为每个孩子建立了成长档案。针对农民工子女英语基础差这一特点,作为初二英语老师,我对初二英语课堂教学提出几点意见。
一、激趣
教育心理学研究表明:初中生的学习动机倾向非显性状态,继而其学习兴趣呈现波动。教师采取活动教学方式,寓教于乐,激发学生对英语的兴趣,而非视英语课为畏途,激趣是为了乐学。
(一)合作竞答
竞答比赛是极好的课堂活动,尤其在检测学生旧知识方面,对于平日活泼好动的农民工子女,以游戏活动的方式完成让学生没有考试的感觉,复习不再是一件无聊的事,还可以培养学生团队合作精神。教师在实施此活动时可以把学生编成小组,促进组间互动和组内合作,使复习环节更加生动有趣,吸引学生参与。如仁爱版八年级上Unit1 Topic1 Section C,可运用小组造句竞赛,复习be going to结构。
(二)情境激励
英语是一门工具学科,操作性十分强,沟通能力是体现其运用的主要表现,因此必须为学生提供情景练习讲英语。在教学中,教师不可能把真实场景搬进课堂,但可以模拟情境,建立贴近现实生活的语言环境,有利于学生把握对话的内容。
1.利用多媒体,唤醒学生视听意识。英语课堂中模拟建立的情境,往往受到时间和空间的限制,无法真实还原情境。在这种情况下,教师可以利用音像、幻灯片等多媒体,形象地再现情境,丰富了学生想象。例如八年级下册Unit 7 Topic 3 Section A,在继续讨论美食节的基础上要求学生掌握就餐用语。因此在课程设计上力求灵活处理教材内容,同时加大对学生听力训练的力度。除了课文Dialogue的录音,教师还需要还原美食节的场景,于是课前可把美食节视频录音截取下来,在课堂上播放给学生听,场景的噪音让学生仿佛身临其境,有利于随后课文对话内容的学习。
2.设计各种活动,形成轻松有益的学习氛围。作为教师,我尝试设计各种课内外活动,培养学生在不同情境下作为特定角色的沟通能力,发掘值得在课堂上讨论的热门话题,使学生能与其他人熟练地用英语沟通。例如教学生唱英文歌,许多初中英语学习内容可以用歌词来表达,而融入音乐,则能加深学生理解,建立语言环境,使学生自然投入到情境学习中。或者遇到西方节日时,我们可以举办相应庆祝活动,让学生感受到西方文化的熏陶。比如,圣诞节装饰圣诞树、唱圣诞歌;复活节做彩蛋等。另一方面,参与互动如英语角等课外教学,参观外国的绘画展,参加英语课本剧比赛等,激励学生运用英语实践能力。
二、导学(探究性合作学习)
如果说,晓之以理,使学生愿学,从而认识到学习是一种“应然”;动之以情,使学生爱学,从而感悟到学习是一种“诚然”;授之以渔,使学生会学,从而实践到学习是一种“必然”;那么,激之以趣,则使学生乐学,从而体验到学习是一种“果然”,而“激趣”与“导学”又是密切相关的。开学初,我校的教师们引导学生进行探究性合作学习,以情境促自主,以兴趣促自主。如八年级下册Unit 6 Topic 3 Section B:(综合探究重点话题:交通)
教师将学生分成小组,每组4人,各小组推选一名组长,组长负责监督各组员完成调查表,并核对大家在平常的生活中是否遵守交通规则。

总之,英语课堂教学要做到“激趣、导学、探究、提高”,教师要面向全体学生,关注每个学生的情感,激发学习英语的兴趣,帮助他们建立信心,引导学生追求真理,开发学生探究潜能,使他们以发展性思维学习语言,真正提高语言运用能力,让学生在享受中获取知识。正如英国著名的管理专家罗杰·福尔克所说:创造者才是真正的享受者。
乐“学”知识目标
学好语言知识是学生发展语言技能的重要基础。在教学中,利用信息技术创设真实语境,鼓励学生在自主学习的基础上开展合作探究,因势利导,让学生充分展示各自的特长,体验学习成功的喜悦,进而转化为学习的动力。
在语音、词汇的教学中,我利用多媒体集音、像、图、文于一体的特点, 将原本枯燥的听、读、写进行了语境动画创设制作,利用动画分音节、分段地展示新单词,突破重难点,使学生感受语境,感知语音,感悟语言。例如,初一英语下册Unit 6中出现大量表现人物外貌和性格的形容词。此时,我让学生在一场最熟悉、最喜爱的篮球赛中一览姚明等NBA巨星的风采,伴随着球场上解说员全英文的介绍,学生们不仅能感受到纯正的发音技巧,而且会不由自主地融入运用英语交流的语境中。一个动画口型的凸显会很好地吸引学生的注意力,让学生通过模仿掌握连读、爆破等发音技巧,进而在语境交流过程中掌握本单元的新词汇。教师随时关注学生交流,并适时地利用电子白板的输入功能设计语音指导,提醒学生准确发音,强化学生的记忆。
力“拓”能力目标
语言学习的最终目标是运用,这就需要教师努力为学生搭建一个广阔的实践平台,让学生掌握学习语言的方法,拓展自己的能力,达到语言教学的能力目标。英语作为一门国际性语言走进我们的课堂,本身缺乏足够的语言环境,信息技术在英语教学中的应用正好弥补了这一缺憾。信息技术为学生学习英语提供了更为广阔的学习空间,有利于学生拓展听、说、读、写等各方面技能。初二英语下册Unit 5的语言目标是 Talk about consequences ,为达到这一目标,全面提高学生语言技能,我下载了一段美国中学生周末聚会的视频片段,启发学生思考交流: “What will happen if you go to the party?” 在这里,学生不但感受到了最纯正的英语口语交流,而且分享到了异国同龄人周末活动的快乐,培养和锻炼了学生的听说能力,同时也为学生自己的语言交流树立了榜样。在此基础上,引导学生想象自己班级的聚会活动,自制活动会话片段课件,练习掌握常用口语。在活动会话交流、课件的制作和展示中,学生领略到了学习语言的快乐,轻松地完成了本单元的能力目标。
尽“修”情感目标
英语作为世界上使用国家最多的语言, 蕴涵着深厚的文化底蕴,同时也储藏着丰富的情感内涵。利用互联网下载西方国家日常生活场景片段,自然风光、地域风貌和历史变迁的图片解说,以及学生喜爱的英文歌曲和文学作品等,都在不同方面、不同程度上使学生了解了世界各地的风俗习惯、风土人情和历史文化,既开阔了眼界,又对学生的思想、行为、态度,乃至世界观和人生观的塑造起着潜移默化的作用。
