英语教学大纲规定高中毕业学生达到“能在学过的题材和语言范围内写短文和书信,意思连贯,拼写正确,语法用词、标点和格式基本正确”。为此,我们在高三复习的同时开展了课外英语写作活动。以写作来促进语法、词汇和句型的复习。通过点拨、诱导、启发使学生克服了对英语写作的畏难情绪,激发成功的乐趣和提高了表达能力。本文以写气候为例。
一、提供范文
活动一开始,我们以BookⅡ(J.)第十五课课文TheSeasons为作文的范文,先让学生阅读模仿,然后两人一组用完整句子回答理解题。
二、归纳词语
范文中往往有大量的词汇和词语要求学生归纳整理。学生板书所学有关气候的词汇和短语。

三、组织提纲
根据范文我们给学生一组问题,让学生根据实际情况进行回答或两人一组进行口头作文。这组问题实际上是口(笔)头作文的提纲,在口头作文的基础上进行书面作文。(1)Howmanyseasonsarethereinyourcountry?(2)Whatarethenamesoftheseasons?(3)Howistheweatherinthewinte,summer,springandautumn?(4)Whatisthebestseasonoftheyear?why?(5)Whatseasondoyoulikebest?why?(6)Isthereanythingcertainabouttheweatherinyourcountry?
四、补充词语
学生在根据提纲作文时需要一些能表达自己思想的词语。教师有意识地补充扩大有关天气的词语。诸如:

Someoneisasfickleastheweather.
Everybodytalksabouttheweather,butnobodydoesanythingaboutit.
我们还选抄了一首小诗,让他们朗读。

最后让学生以Theweatherin…或MyFavorite为题写一篇100字左右的文章并在组内进行交流。下面选取一篇为例。
