The American Journal of Linguistics (AJP), founded in 1880, helped shape classical American scholarship. Today, the magazine has gained worldwide recognition as a forum for international exchange between classicists and linguists by publishing original research in classical literature, linguistics, history, society, religion, philosophy, as well as cultural and material studies. Each issue has a book review section. AJP maintains an open attitude towards various contemporary and interdisciplinary approaches, including literary interpretation and theory, historical investigation, and textual criticism.

The Journal of American Linguistics is an academic journal dedicated to linguistic research, providing a platform for scholars, researchers, and students in the field of linguistics to publish and exchange their research findings.
