Liquid Crystals is an academic journal focused on the field of liquid crystal science and technology, providing a platform for researchers to publish original research reports on the molecular design, synthesis, and aspects of liquid crystals from basic science to applied engineering. The journal covers the supramolecular organization and self-assembly of liquid crystals, which are central to liquid crystal research and are essential for understanding the properties of liquid crystal materials and developing new applications.

The journal pays special attention to the diversity of liquid crystal materials, including but not limited to thermotropic, lyotropic, and interfacial liquid crystals, as well as chiral and ferroelectric liquid crystals with special properties. In addition, the journal also covers polymer liquid crystals, micro/nano composite materials and other new liquid crystal systems, which have a wide range of applications in modern science and technology. The journal encourages a combination of experimental and theoretical research to promote a deeper understanding of the physical properties of liquid crystals, phase transition behavior, intermolecular interactions, and responsiveness to external stimuli such as electric and magnetic fields. These studies not only help to reveal the internal scientific principles of liquid crystals, but also provide a theoretical basis for designing new liquid crystal materials and devices.
