The Journal of Politeness Research - Language Behavior Culture is a multidisciplinary academic journal dedicated to the study of politeness, exploring multiple aspects of politeness as a complex linguistic and nonverbal phenomenon. This journal provides a much-needed forum for researchers to broaden and deepen our understanding of the nature of politeness, and promote synergies between different disciplinary perspectives.

The journal covers research from multiple fields including linguistics, sociology, psychology, anthropology, communication, and cultural studies, encouraging scholars to adopt diverse methods to analyze polite behavior. This includes qualitative research, quantitative analysis, case studies, cross-cultural comparisons, and theoretical construction. Special emphasis is placed on cross-cultural and cross linguistic research on politeness, aiming to strengthen and expand the existing research system. The journal encourages researchers to explore politeness norms in different cultural and social contexts, and how these norms affect communicative behavior and interpersonal relationships.
