Early music history is dedicated to studying music from the early Middle Ages to the end of the 17th century. The scope is very broad, including manuscript research, textual criticism, iconography, research on the relationship between text and music, and research on the relationship between music and society. It is an academic journal dedicated to music research from the early Middle Ages to the late 17th century. This journal prefers to use interdisciplinary methods and new methodological ideas for research, published once a year, and adopts a peer review system.
