CCJ has a publication history dating back to 1882 and is well known for some classic pieces which have changed the direction of the field. It is the journal of the Cambridge Philological Society but invites submissions from all scholars.Covering various fields of Greek and Roman studies, including literature, linguistics, philosophy, history, art and archaeology, reception studies, and academic history. Since its inception, it has changed the direction of development in the field with its classic works. It is the journal of the Cambridge Language Society, which includes open access (OA) content and allows readers to access the full text of some articles.
