Sign Systems Studies is an international academic journal dedicated to the field of semiotics, exploring the wide application and impact of signs and symbolic processes in culture and nature. Since its inception, the journal has attracted the attention of scholars and researchers from different academic backgrounds with its interdisciplinary perspective and in-depth research content.

The journal covers multiple aspects of semiotic theory, symbolic process analysis, and symbolic system design, and aims to advance the understanding of human communication and cognition through an in-depth study of how symbols function in different cultures and societies. It not only focuses on traditional language semiotics, but also covers visual semiotics, music semiotics, digital media semiotics and other emerging fields.
