The Jahrbuch für Internationale Germanistik is an independent international publication medium that stands open to all German scholars. It represents the conviction that German Language and Literature is an international, cross-border area that exceeds all political boundaries. As an official forum the yearbook affords the opportunity to discuss central problems of the discipline, to inform about ongoing or planned research projects and to establish through reports and notes contacts with the various camps of the global discipline.Its publication provides readers with a window to understand and study German culture, and also builds a bridge for cultural exchange between China and Germany.
